Our Story
Sparkle Studio was founded by two ambitious but lost souls back in 2019. Both of us graduated from college together and were heading out in different directions but one thing we had in common was to create something of our own and something that can give us freedom.
Growing up as Burmese girls in an ordinary Burmese society, we were taught to think in certain ways and to pursue career paths. But ever since we were young, both of us wanted to be a little different.
While living abroad, my friend had an “ah ha” moment when she saw beautiful earrings one day at a mall. Having no ear piercings herself and not noticing them before, she was intrigued by why she was suddenly interested in them. She worked tirelessly in researching the ins and outs of that that initial “ah ha” moment represented.
Meanwhile, I was back home in Yangon working as a freelance digital marketer helping businesses successfully grow their social media presence, And I thought to myself, “If I could help others grow, I wondered if I could create something I call my own using these platforms.”
My friend finally came back to Yangon with a huge bag of sample earrings, we met up and talked about what we can do in Yangon and what we can offer to our pretty babes in Yangon that they don’t already have.
We wanted to create a brand, a local-owned brand of jewelry that has high quality yet affordable products We wanted to give something that was lacking in the jewelry/accessory industry here in Myanmar.
With the sole purpose of wanting to be different and to be free, we dived into creating this brand with all our might. For months on end, we ate, drank, slept and dreamt about Sparkle Studio.
And finally when we were able to launch Sparkle Studio, we received so much love and support more than what we anticipated. That kept us going and working our hardest to create a reputable brand with awesome products for our #sparklebabes until today.
Sparkle Studio is not just another online shop, it is a brand, it is a lifestyle and it is a community. Sparkle Studio means so much more to both of us and we have put 1000% of ourselves into it. We have done our best to show much Sparkle Studio means to us in the products we sell, the packaging we use and the service we give.
